Challenges: Many families in the Kherson region survived the occupation and daily shellings. Bombings traumatize individuals and the related stress burden requires many years to fully heal. The trauma is widespread, and the job is massive, but God had prepared My Home for such a ministry even before the Russian full-scale invasion into Ukraine began.

Our response: We establish safe daycare centers that meet the needs of children by providing education, psycho-emotional support, and spiritual training to increase the likelihood of a normal and happy childhood.

The daycare center is a safe area where school-aged children can spend time five days a week. In spite of continuous Russian shelling of the city, 36 children from 30 families currently attend the daycare center in Kherson. Our daily developmental activities at the center focus on four areas:

• 3. Life skills
• 4. Spiritual growth

5-7 YEAR VISION – DAYCARE CENTERS

We plan to open 40 centers in the Kherson region (10 within the city limits of Kherson and 30 in the region), where about 1,000 children will receive care and training as specified previously. The centers will be havens for meeting spiritual and physical needs and improve their quality of life.
